I had a few minutes to unwind at the end of the teaching day so i took refuge in the art teachers' workroom. Sat on a chair and drew what was there. Unfortunately, the bell rang and i had to go. Pen in Moleskine.
Drawing people who smile is great, except teeth are usually a real hassle to render. This whole portrait (one of the few i haven't left deliberately unfinished!) was an excuse to practice and overcome the teeth obstacle. So i read that Gabriel García Márquez visited Fidel today. Coincidentally, i had found an old picture of García Márquez at school a couple of days ago. I only had enough time to draw his eyes before it got late tonight. Colored pencil on Canson paper.
