I usually start my doodles on the western region of any paper -- with the intention of making my way eastward as i draw. That didn't happen today, and Liz remains by her lonesome on the page. But i love the Pigma Micron 08 pen!

Anthony's Fleur de Lys

Some of the stuff i post on this blog are doodles. They are the kind of absent-minded scribbling i do when i am either talking to people or have a few minutes to kill somewhere. Yesterday, i was sitting in an art class covering for a colleague, and saw this kid Anthony was wearing a huge Fleur de Lys on his t-shirt. It still is a cool logo, despite what it stands for.
I am feeling pretty bogged down these days (hence the doodle) -- i have a lot of assignments left and right, and the frequency of the posts might suffer a little, unless i keep posting these! *sigh*

My mom's quilts

My mom makes some mean quilts. I am sharing only a sample of her colorful pieces here -- though she's made dozens, and i love every one of them. Growing up, our beds, cushions, floors and sofas bore my mom's signature colorful quilts. Chapeau, Maman!
