I have started a slow but resolute invasion of our kitchen table with my quilting stuff: measuring tape, yards of fabric, rulers, cut pieces, notebooks, pencils, a thimble, and some rudimentary sewing supplies. For the record, our kitchen table is olive green but I didn't have a colored pencil matching its color -- so I went with blue. But you get the idea.
One more little sketch I could squeeze out of my dying Pigma Micron.
I've recently been commissioned to draw a pair of sneakers and it made me want to do a quick pen sketch of my lawn-mowing, painting and spackling New Balance -- the left one, that is. Other views of my New Balance here and here.
Pigma Micron 05 (which almost feels like a pencil) in sketchbook.
Just as Citroën is resuscitating the DS name, I wanted to draw an original DS -- though probably (judging by its headlights) a late 1960s version. I draw cars directly with a pen, which can yield some catastrophic results. This one did come out the way it was supposed to be, so I was happy.
