I sat in Diane's painting and drawing class today for 15 minutes, just enough time to complete the following assignment with Todd and the students: draw from a slightly blurry picture, avoiding to focus on lines and rather go with values. Oh, the frustration! We all had to use 6B pencils -- which is what I should use more often. Xerox paper.
I know Peugeot is now coming out with the new, oh-so-sexy RCZ. But there's also the sweet little 1970s Peugeot 304 coupe -- which never came out in lime green, but I thought I would try. I should have used blue. Pigma Micron 08 and watercolor in Moleskine.
I never draw with an H pencil but I wanted to see how it would get along with the Moleskine paper. As it turns out, not that great. By the time I was done with Chris Dempsey's skin, I had no inclination to tackle his Dylanesque hairdo. So I called it a night.
