Rick Tulka

I have been meaning to draw Rick Tulka for at least a year now, but have never got around to it -- though frankly I was also far too intimidated by the task.  That's why I just did it in pen tonight, thinking it would be a pre-drawing of sorts.

I had five minutes to sit in class today and draw one of my Freshmen, the current protagonist of the story we are building in French 2 class.  I realized his eyelashes were unusually long.  And that's all I have been able to draw lately.  A quick sketch of a 9th grader on the back of a handout with my Bic pen.

I had not draw anything in days.  And the desperate little doodles I do on my iPhone don't really qualify as drawing.  Tonight I allocated about 20 minutes to a drawing -- and it turned out to be a quick portrait of my former student Brian.  B pencil on sketch paper.
