I have a small drawing by Robert Crumb that I keep on a wall. It's a drawing of the corner of a hotel room. There is the corner of a pillow, a piece of the headboard, and a phone -- and it's so darn perfect. There is an incredible balance between detail and omission. I have aspired for years to draw something similar -- to take the mundane and celebrate it with the pen. And this was my nth attempt at attaining that.
Another page in Nora's little babylogue -- the Moleskine I have kept for the past 20 months. Pigma Micron 01.
