Sometimes it's that simple

Our daughter gets her very first pair of rubber boots from Target and says "thasscuuute!" when she sees them coming out of the bag.  Unrestrained Pilot pen V5 and colored pencil in sketchbook.

 

Now my heart is full

I have been drawing, no really, I have.  My posts have been weekly at best, but in between, I have been sitting at our daughter's table and doodling with her.  She gives me cues ("Maman dessine... cœur?  Étoile?") and I oblige.  Then she adds her contributions.  Crayola washable crayon on Ikea paper.

My little corner of the world

Lots of doodling today during our faculty meeting.  A little corner of my school bag, adorned with old badges of bands I'll never see again.  Pilot pen on budget proposal.  

 

Wear something orange while you can

Oh what a surprise.  More shoes.  I didn't think I would ever buy Crocs, but in size 6-7 for toddlers, they looked pretty cute.  And maybe Nora will dig Mario Batali as much as her parents do.  

This is no match for Pete Scully's inspiring collection of his son's shoes, though.  Pete listens t0 Belle & Sebastian while he sketches, which adds a whole other pleasant dimension to this affair.
