Quick Nora

Today I only had a few minutes to doodle on the iPad, so I tried to monkey with the pencil tool in Paper while looking at the screen as little as possible.  Blind contour-style though not really.  

 

Girl of my dreams

Oh, drawing the girl of my dreams again.  Remembering what it was like, cruising the highways of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, hauling furniture, with my old Volvo 240 wagon.

iPad Elmo

I have not drawn a single thing on paper since I've had my iPad.  Instead, I've been toying with the amazing little Paper app, and it looks as though I am not the only one out there.   

 

Draw something!

I was wondering if I would be doing much drawing on my iPhone anymore, now that I got an iPad for my birthday.  Drawing on the iPad after drawing on the iPhone is like finally getting a pair of jeans that fit -- realizing the ones you had were way too constrictive.  Much better for Draw Something too.  Oh the lesson in loosening up that Draw Something has been!  I usually end each drawing, right before I send it, with "ah, f*** it".  I might have even said it outloud.

Tom

There is not much drawing taking place these days, other than a quick sketch at school here and there.  This was my husband Tom, quite awake though I made him look asleep, during one of our faculty meetings.

I had my sketchbook in my purse, but the book (covered in craft paper) that I had sitting on my lap was just closer.  

 

Putting down the iPhone

I sentenced myself to a handful of evenings (four to be exact) spent swiping away on the surface of my iPhone for this drawing.  The original photo is by SalaBoli on Flickr -- and though my guy doesn't quite look like the original, I am not redoing this.  I cannot spend another minute on it.
