I have just received my copy of An Illustrated Life by Danny Gregory in the mail today! Over 260 pages of sheer pleasure: glancing through artists' sketchbooks, feeling great for being one of them but humbled by the quality of the work surrounding mine.
Allow me to indulge by showing you snippets of "my" pages below. :-)
Danny Gregory's new book, An Illustrated Life, just came out! When Danny first asked me to be part of this project over a year and a half ago, I thought it was a joke. But sure enough, my drawings are in it! I cannot wait to hold it in my hands. My eyes will be glued to the pages for days, and I will be too intimidated to draw anything after seeing the amazing spreads of some of these artists.
The word is out. You can now purchase a Moleskine with a nifty cover! There are dozens of amazing designs on the Modofly website. Check out Modofly.net and tell me if you're not blown away by the quality of the engravings.
Today, i received a new batch of Moo™ cards in the mail. They are tiny (about 3 x 7 cm, or 1 x 3", approximately), fun to carry around, and to swap with strangers :-)
At moo.com, you can have your own pictures turned into cool cards, or purchase cards with designers' illos on them, like the incredible Andrea Joseph!
Driving out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania this afternoon, i took some pictures of the old foundry. Tonight, the more i looked at it, the more colors i saw in it. This is an orange-y attempt at translating that.
