I had apparently never posted this old drawing of Bruce Springsteen i did one evening in September 1999, while waiting for parents to show up for parent-teacher conferences in my classroom. It was two days after i had seen him for the first time in concert, at the First Union Center in Philadelphia. I was still all brucified, listening to my Born To Run CD, doodling away with whatever i had at hand -- a #2 pencil and Xerox paper.
I am seeing him again tonight at the Meadowlands with the E Street Band (sadly minus Danny Federici).
Original Born To Run photo by Eric Meola.
Wonderful! Love the smile. I hope you enjoy the concert.

So how was it? And didn't this post spoil the surprise?
I love that we can see those Belleville(!) lines in this, almost decade old, drawing. Brilliant.

Andrea, the show was over 3 hours long -- loved it. I have to send you this video of an interview of him on YouTube. You'll love what he says in there.
