I sat in Diane's painting and drawing class today for 15 minutes, just enough time to complete the following assignment with Todd and the students: draw from a slightly blurry picture, avoiding to focus on lines and rather go with values. Oh, the frustration! We all had to use 6B pencils -- which is what I should use more often. Xerox paper.
je comprend tellement ta frustration, ne pas avoir de contour net… arghhh. La différence est que tu t'en très remarquablement. Toujours cette lumière que tu sais rendre.

Well done - sometimes it's good to move away from what we do well (in your case amazingly perfect detailed drawings)- it's always a learning experience. Don't stop doing your usual drawings though!
