Part of getting ready for the new school year this summer has been creating a Twitter account (@MadameVanStone) to communicate even more effectively with my French AP class outside of the classroom: automatic syncs with the French AP blog, last minute homework updates, links to French articles, newscasts, etc.
Because it's a French Twitter page, I did a little *a-hem* abstract drawing and made the theme blue, white and red -- daringly creative, I know.
Brushes app for the iPad.
So tonight it's a little 3-year old foot on the sofa and a quick blind contour drawing of a fan :-) Nothing much happening artistically speaking, just trying to keep my hand moving on the paper. Or the iPad, rather.
For those of you who have used the Paper app for the iPad, you know how kickass it is. When I get back to Brushes, I now feel intimidated by all the features, but I eventually loosen up in the course of the drawing. And by the time I reach the end, I want to experiment with more and more of them. Next time I use Brushes, I have to remember to monkey with them right from the beginning.
